Message: Damn...I just got scammed today. 2 guys; 1 girl "befriended" me in Peoples Park; took me to Tea House; 6 tea tastings and 3 bags of tea;1400 RMB. They even took me to lunch after tea and bought me dumplings and beer...how bizarre is that. Also said they were visiting from Hunan Province. It was only when I got back to hotel and thought about it and then "googled" "Shanghai Tea Scam" that I realized I had been :had".I just called VISA and cancelled the card and they said maybe I will get refund from Fraud dept for the transaction....will find out when I return to US in a week. They also gave me their emails and I do have their pic....too complicated to contact police tho...I speak no Chinese and only here for a week..I guess they won this one :( Replies to this post No replies yet |
